How to Nourish your Body!

Always remember before you eat to check in with your nervous system. When you are anxious or in a shadow state, your body is too focused on survival to absorb anything. Your body absorbs nutrients properly when you are nervous system is calm. Try to incorporate breath-work to calm your nervous system and intention to infuse the food with love and ask your body to receive all the healthy vitamins and minerals.

Tips to Nourish your Body / Fill up your Cup first!

Step 1 - Do your Shadow work! Plug the holes and keep your energy. Some things to contemplate:

  • Where is my energy or power being leaked out of my body?
  • Where am I sacrificing myself?
  • Where have I given myself away for free?
  • Where can’t I say no?
  • Who can’t I say no to?
  • Where do I have no boundaries?
  • Where have I allowed myself to be disrespected?
  • Where am I accepting less?
  • What do I do to perpetrate my safety issues?
  • Where don’t I honour my boundaries?

Step 2 - Calm your nervous system.

  • Mediation
  • Breath-work
  • Yin yoga
  • Acupressure points
  • By activating your vagus nerve through signing, humming, gargling.
  • Listen to theta waves
  • Energy healing / Reiki
  • Do you know your love language? Give yourself the love you want form others - physical touch, quality time, receiving gifts, words of affirmation, and acts of service.

Step 3 - Eat foods to balance your pH!

  • Lemon water
  • Lemon water with baking soda
  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Greens- chlorophyll, and spiralina.
  • Eat healthy nutrients.

YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH FOOD

What is the purpose of eating? Is it for taste, nutrition, habit? Do you do things in life because you're "supposed to"? What is that relationship like? Is it fulfilling? Do you feel "filled" after your experience?

 

Are you always hungry? Do you eat to fill? Do you eat when you're emotionally compromised? Whats the purpose of putting the fork to mouth? What kinds of food do you "numb" with? Are there other things you use to numb?

 

Are you the last one to eat at the table ? Do you feed others before you feed yourself? Do you always put yourself last?

 

Are you eating nourishing foods? What thoughts fill your head? What food do you fill your body with?

 

Do you hurry through your meal to be done? Do you savor your meals and take time to really know and experience your food? Are you hurrying through experiences and wanting to finish as quickly as you start?
